To promote the global application of the International Ammunition Technical Guidelines (IATG), a comprehensive training package was developed under the UN SaferGuard Programme by AMAT for the use of donor states, beneficiary states, and operators who deliver trainings on the IATG.
The comprehensive package consists of a seminar for policy leaders and a foundation course for all personnel working on ammunition management, including all related material and resources. The approach on two levels represents an effective method to promote the understanding of ammunition management risks and the development of coherent national policies for safe storage of ammunition by correctly trained and qualified personnel.
